NREL American-Made EPIC Prize Round 2!
The IoT Conduit recently submitted a proposal for the EPIC Prize Round 2 and won! We are now working with two local entrepreneurs to pilot their technologies in the MoveIt! phase of the competition and are always looking for support from other energy professionals.
The EPIC Prize, or Energy Program for Innovation Clusters, was “designed to incentivize regional incubators that implement high-impact ideas to support energy startups and entrepreneurs” to invigorate the US clean energy industry.
The IoT Conduit submitted an application for the DesignIt! competition, the first of three phases in Round 2, or the incubator program. Our proposal was called “Pilots to Connect Climate Tech and Community” focusing on our streamlined and curated pilot demonstration process for hardtech startups. Our pitch was selected in December 2022 as one of 20 semi-finalists to win $50k to help our vetted Professional Partners team up with two regional innovators – Healthy Kingdom and WexEnergy – in their innovate energy ideas. We are now eligible to participate in the MoveIt! competition for a chance to win another $100k!
The MoveIt! phase is our next challenge, with submissions due April 11, 2023.
